South Africa 2008  In 2008 the charity supported some 200 pupils in South Africa by paying their school fees; providing school uniforms and school books. In addition a group of 20 students and 2 teachers visited South Africa for 3 weeks to teach and redecorate a primary school in Molweni, in the Valley of 1000 Hills. The English students supported by their schools raised all the money to cover the costs of the paint and equipment needed. In the school visited, Sizimisele Primary, the students swept; washed; painted and completed wall murals 6 classrooms and the library. In addition they taught lessons in English; maths; P.E and art. The money raised also provided the cost of the refurbishment of the kitchen used to prepare food provided by the Government for the childred; furnish 1 classroom with tables and chairs; provide teacher tables and chairs for the classrooms and provide 30 chairs for the library. For the first time the charity was able to fund a trip for 16 township pupils from 4 different primary schools as a reward for their academic effort and achievement during the course of the year.
