In October Holy Innocents church held a fundraising week which raised some £500.00 for the chosen charity Hillcrest Aids orphans. During this week amongst a range of activities they held a steel pans evening involving girls from the local school and also a 'Golden Girls' tea party.

Another steel pans night will be held in October this year when it is hoped to raise much more for the children in South Africa.

In June 2009 Holy Innocents organised an evening of wine and canapies in a local wine bar owned by two of their parishioners and made over £1,000.00.  It was a lovely evening and was very well attended by church members and friends.
