Shipping Container of Clothes and Books
In 2009 the charity was given the use of an empty shipping container to Durban, South Africa at no cost. A large number of schools and churches helped to provide good quality used clothing for people of all ages and books for schools to be able to set up libraries. The contents were gathered together at St Alphege Church, Edmonton, UK, and in early 2010 the container arrived to be packed with the contents and made ready for shipment.
Once the container arrived on South Africa it taken to the Hillcrest Aids Centre and the contents were distributed to different schools with the clothing distributed via the charity.
Following are a number of pictures taken during this project.
