It has been a while since we last reported on the progress of two of the gifted students who we are supporting through high school, but we have some exciting news!
Amanda and Kwanele are now in their final year (grade 12) and are doing fantastically. The pictures show the students in their school uniforms which have special braiding known as ‘colours’ awarded by their school for academic achievement.

Kwanele’s school uniform has braiding to show he has received his ‘full colours’ for his high standard of academic achievements. Amanda is also making swift and steady progress and has received ‘half colours’ for her commendable academic achievement. We are so excited about this well-deserved acknowledgement of their efforts and achievements.
Kwanele and Amanda have worked really hard and didn’t let the significant disruption caused by the pandemic stop them from achieving. Since then, they have steamed ahead and are making us all proud. Read about their experiences of learning through lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic here .
Both students are currently looking at options for applying to university next year, so watch this space for updates. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
But none of this would be possible without support.
We are exceptionally grateful to all the sponsors who have consistently supported the students through their high school years, covering costs of learning materials, travel, equipment, and other school fees. This, in addition to scholarships, has enabled Kwanele and Amanda to attend a school that provides them with the level and range of education they need to fulfil their potential.
