The growing number of AIDS orphans have no support to fund their education. By law, children up to the age of 15 years are not allowed to be excluded from school for not having a school uniform, but in reality, this does happen and children affected by HIV/AIDS are being denied education. The funding raised provides the pupils’ school uniform and text books.
The amounts are very small in our terms but make a substantial difference to the future of these young people.
The costs do vary according to whether the children are at primary or secondary school.
- Uniform costs per year £25.00 – £50.00
- Books per year £12.00 – £30.00
The number of orphans continues to grow, and with it the need to provide more funding to ensure that education is not denied to these disadvantaged young people.
Please donate to help the charity continue this vital work.
