We would like to thank everyone who has kindly donated to our COVID-19 urgent appeal. With the amazing £1700 raised so far we have been able to feed more than double the original number of families we had planned to.

On Friday 8th May HACT SA and Lionsraw made a delivery of food and essentials to the Steven Davison Primary School (one of the many schools we work with in the Valley of 1000 Hills). The families were able to remain socially distanced whilst collecting these vital parcels. 40 families who were identified as being in need were each provided with a food hamper along with a 10kg bag of maize, a 10kg bag of potatoes and 7kgs of butternut squash. Everything was bought on our behalf by HACT SA using the funds raised in our appeal. A big thank you to the all the helpers from HACT SA and Lionsraw who safely and efficiently loaded and unloaded cars and made sure each family got their parcel.

On Wednesday 13th May there will be another delivery at the school providing parcels for a further 40 families. The cost of this delivery is about R12000 (£530), the funds for which come directly from both our appeal and Lionsraw. Without the generous donations we have received, we could not provide these crucial food parcels. But as the lock-down continues we still need to raise more funds to ensure that the people we are supporting have enough to eat. So if you would like to help us to help others, please donate here.
Thank you for your support, without you, we could not do this. Every single penny goes where it is most needed and every penny goes a long, long way.
We are a registered UK charity raising funds to support children impacted by HIV and AIDS and rural township schools. All money raised goes directly to the projects.
