Fr Gwyn Clement

August 18, 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Fr Gwyn on Sunday 10th August 2025.

Fr Gwyn was the charity’s Chair of Trustees since its inception in 2001. He remained in that role until early this year when his health forced him to stand down. His compassion for others was always evident. He said,

“We take so much for granted in this country especially from state funded education and the Health Service. It is a privilege to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves and to provide valuable experience to our young people who help with the work of this charity.”

Our founder, Margaret Turnbull said, “It was always a pleasure and a privilege to work alongside Fr Gwyn.”

His support and contributions to the charity have been invaluable. We are so thankful to have known and worked with this kind, gentle and wise man. We will miss him greatly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Yes, it has. This experience has opened my eyes and made such a positive impact on my life. I have become more aware of the problems in our country and the world. I have gained confidence in myself knowing that I’ve have changed someone’s life and it excites me to think about future projects I will participate in.
