Amanda said, “My first year at university has been a challenging yet, rewarding journey. Even though being a university student has taught me to be independent and self-reliable, I have also learnt the importance of resilience, discipline and having a strong support system. This year has shown me that while university is demanding, it is also an opportunity for growth, and I am determined to make the most of it.”
Kwanele said of his first year studying at university: “There were many specific events that made the experience enjoyable and fulfilling. One of the biggest highlights was getting to know new people from different backgrounds, and building friendships, which made the adjustment to university life easier. From an academic point of view, I found joy in studying subjects, which I was genuinely interested in, and I enjoyed the flexibility that came with managing my own timetable.”
