The charity runs many projects to help support the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust in South Africa. It also provides a unique opportunity for 6th Formers to get involved and give something back.
School Uniform Fund
Raising money to pay for the school uniforms and equipment for children impacted by HIV and AIDS.
Rural Township Pupils Visit
This provides an opportunity for pupils from four rural township primary schools in South Africa to visit a leadership camp outside Durban as a fun reward for academic effort and achievement
Feeding / Horticulture Project
Funding is sought to provide food for children impacted by HIV and AIDS at weekends and Holidays by establishing a horticultural project for sustainable long term provision.
Secondary School Student Sponsorship
Raising money to pay for the school uniforms, materials and transport of an able student to attend a secondary school in the nearest town.
The Valley Project
Providing an opportunity for young people in the Hillcrest area of South Africa to experience the impact of poverty and AIDS in township schools whilst working within a school, painting and decorating the classrooms and teaching the pupils.
Dyslexia Training and Development
Working with a number of primary schools to train teachers to identify and support children with dyslexia.
Rural Township Principals’ Development
Supporting principals from rural township schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning within their schools.
