In 2017, we returned with twenty eight students from two South African schools, this time working in Laboure Primary school in rural township in KwaZulu Natal. Only two of the students had previously been in township. The first week which was during the school holidays was spent washing down, preparing and painting 8 classrooms. In the second week when the new term had begun, following the South African curriculum, the students taught English, mathematics, science and creative arts to the year 6 and 7 pupils. This film is a snapshot of their time in the school, the fun they had plus the farewell given to the students by the school.
We are a registered UK charity raising funds to support children impacted by HIV and AIDS and rural township schools. All money raised goes directly to the projects.
