Laboure Primary Valley Project 2017 Video

February 12, 2018

In 2017, we returned with twenty eight students from two South African schools, this time working in Laboure Primary school in rural township in KwaZulu Natal.  Only two of the students had previously been in township.  The first week which was during the school holidays was spent washing down, preparing and painting 8 classrooms.  In the second week when the new term had begun, following the South African curriculum, the students taught English, mathematics, science and creative arts to the year 6 and 7 pupils.  This film is a snapshot of their time in the school, the fun they had plus the farewell given to the students by the school.

I learnt that I can push through and do any work required especially when I am part of a team and we have a common goal.
