During our last visit, teacher training took place in two schools.
In Inchanga Primary School all the staff took part in two afternoon training sessions on behaviour management. The training focused on ensuring that the school agreed on a common set of simple and clear rules of behaviour for the classroom which would be displayed in each class. These would be linked with a list of rewards that the staff would use when learners followed the rules and the consequences to be applied if and when the rules were broken.

In the other school, Laboure Primary School, following the completion of the painting, decorating and teaching project, four afternoon training sessions took place – two on behaviour management and two on differentiation and an introduction to dyslexia.
