Thank you, St Alphege’s Church

October 31, 2021

Yesterday we held a bead sale during the Travelling Trends Fashion Show held at St Alphege’s Church in Enfield. We were made extremely welcome by the whole church community.  We raised £67 plus another £20 in other sales which is fabulous! We would like to express huge thanks to all the organisers, especially our wonderful trustee Mary Findlow.

All the beads we sell are made in South Africa supported by The Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust in South Africa who run several income generating projects. These projects employ men and women impacted by HIV and AIDS.

The beautiful jewellery and gifts they make not only enable them to support their families, but give them a sense of pride and raise their self-esteem. We are so lucky to be able to sell these pieces in the UK. Every piece is lovingly handmade.

If you have an event that you would like us to hold a stall at, please contact us here.

I loved that the project allowed me to come put of my comfort zone, get my hands dirty and overall, do good for the others.
