We are excited to announce that our founder and trustee, Margaret Turnbull, has arrived in South Africa after nearly 2 years’ delay due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Her trip, which will last several weeks, involves visiting the students we are sponsoring, connecting with schools in the rural areas of the Valley of 1000 Hills, having meetings and training sessions with school teachers and principals, and visiting our sister charity, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust SA.
One of the first things Margaret did this trip was to have a joyful reunion with Amanda (grade 10), Kwanele (grade 10) and Neliswa (grade 9), the gifted students we are sponsoring through their secondary education at Hillcrest High School. Margaret met up with them at the Spur restaurant in Durban and treated them to burger, chips and milkshakes (their choice). This treat was to celebrate all their hard work and achievements and also their latest school reports which were excellent, despite the massive difficulties caused by the pandemic. We are so proud of them!
Watch this space for more updates from Margaret’s visit.

We are a registered UK charity raising funds to support children impacted by HIV and AIDS and rural township schools. All money raised goes directly to the projects.
